Stafford Show
On Sunday 10th March I travelled with Chris Gibbons (Plastic tank Man) To the kit car show at Stafford. Our chosen method of transport was Chris's Orange Locost. With no roof. In March. Mad? Well yes, obviously. Actually the trip there and back was ok, not too cold and dry all the way, the only fly in the ointment being the fact that it chucked it down while we were in the show! when we came out we had to bail an inch of water out of the footwells! Anyway the show was a little dissapointing, quite small with some notable absentees among the manfacturers, but we were happy to meet some of the Locosters from "Darn Sarf" who frequent the Locostbuilders site, as you can see below.
Left to right: John, the Conrod Kid, Dazza and Bob, Marcus from Donny, one's self with MK supremo Martin(eating a Mars bar)Keenan and Dave McDave the Derbyshire sheep worrier!.

This Years trip is to "The Goodwood Festival of speed", which I'm reliably informed is somewhere in the south - They won't know what hit 'em!

The Yorkshire Group
The Yorkshire Group meet on the second Wednesday of every month, at The Beverleys Arms on the roundabout at the junction of the A628 and A638 at Ackworth Nr Pontefract, 7.30 pm.
It's the usual group of bores, loudmouths and know-it-alls, and yes, I do fit in to all three categories! There's a mix of builders and drivers and a few dreamers, but there is a mass of experience and knowledge to be gained if you can stand the p*ss taking, it's a laugh!
If you need any info or directions call Steve Gibbons on 01709 588252 ( it is NOT a requirement to be called Gibbs or Gibbons to join us !)
The Next Project
